fresnelIntegralC

Evaluates the cosine Fresnel integral.

Synopsis

fresnelIntegralC (x)

Required Arguments

float x (Input)
Argument for which the function value is desired.

Return Value

The cosine Fresnel integral.

Description

The cosine Fresnel integral is defined to be

\[C(x) = \int_0^x \cos \left(\tfrac{\pi}{2} t^2\right) dt\]

Example

The Fresnel integral C(1.75) is evaluated.

from __future__ import print_function
from numpy import *
from pyimsl.math.fresnelIntegralC import fresnelIntegralC

x = 1.75

ans = fresnelIntegralC(x)
print("C(1.75) = %f" % (ans))

Output

C(1.75) = 0.321935
